Colson Mattocks is a two-way 2027 prospect out of Caldwell County who carries a running back's burst and a linebacker's appetite for contact. At 5'11, 165 with a 4.6 forty, he has the short-area quickness to press a crease and the frame to keep adding weight without giving any of it back. The strength work is where his development curve shows. A 315-pound squat at 165 pounds sits near double bodyweight, and the 32-inch vertical and 9'6" broad jump confirm that lower-half power is translating into real explosion. The 175-pound bench is the honest next number to move, and at his age and build there is obvious upside there. He has given coaches plenty to evaluate: a full junior season is on file alongside the opening three weeks of his senior year, so a staff can see both the finished product and the trajectory. A 3.5 GPA keeps his options open at every level that comes calling.
